Ovarian cancer spheroids cultured in hypoxic conditions released EVs that promoted the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines interleukin-6 (IL-6) and IL-8 and pro-angiogenic growth factor VEGF-A in bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs); these factors induced angiogenesis and the migration of low-invasive ovarian cancer cells. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and ovarian carcinoma.
