The incidence of elevated serum NT‐proBNP in ESUS patients was not statistically different from that in LAA or SVD group, while the LAA group had a higher incidence of elevated serum NT‐proBNP than the SVD group (37.3% vs. 12.6%, p = .000), this was also true for the adjusted analysis as well (OR = 2.104, 95% CI = 1.045–4.237, p = .037). The gene discussed is NPPB; the disease is snowflake vitreoretinal degeneration.
