DNA methylation of five cancer‐related genes (KLK10, SOX17, WNT5A, MSH2, and GATA3) was evaluated as a prognostic marker in a study that included 150 and 16 breast cancer patients under adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapy, respectively, 34 patients with metastatic disease and 35 healthy volunteers by quantitative MSP (QMSP) [35]. This evidence concerns the gene SOX17 and breast carcinoma.
