In detail, sepsis was associated with a selective increase of CTCF enrichment at four binding sites that are located adjacent to the classical HLA gene isotypes HLA-DR, HLA-DQ and HLA-DP: CM1 (neighboring the HLA-DRA gene, *p<0.05), CM2 (located between the diametrically transcribed HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DQA1 genes, *p<0.05), CM3 (located between HLA-DQB1 and HLA-DQA2, *p<0.05) and CM9 (spatially related to HLA-DPA1 and HLA-DPB1, *p<0.05; Fig 5A and 5B). This evidence concerns the gene HLA-DPA1 and Sepsis.
