VCAM1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus: These effects include anti-diabetic and anti-inflammatory effects in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) (Ejtahed et al. 2012), reduction of inflammatory mediators in obese and overweight people (Zarrati et al. 2013), a decrease in LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C) and in LDL-C to HDL-C ratio in normocholesterolemic men (Bedani et al. 2015), and a decrease in the level of blood glucose and markers of vascular cell adhesion molecule cell (VCAM-1) in people with metabolic syndrome (Rezazadeh et al. 2019).
