The high expression of PERK was associated with a favorable prognosis in bladder carcinoma (p = 0.006), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (p = 0.0022), lung adenocarcinoma (p = 0.0054), rectum adenocarcinoma (p = 0.026), and thymoma (p = 0.039, Figure 4) and related to a poor prognosis in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (p = 0.014), liver hepatocellular carcinoma (p = 0.023), and thyroid carcinoma (p = 0.0036, Figure 4). This evidence concerns the gene EIF2AK3 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
