In summary, this research found that taurine has certain acting on inhibiting A549 human lung cancer cells; and it induces apoptosis, suppressing migration and altering the expression of migration-related and EMT-related proteins VEGF, MMP-9, TIMP-1, TIMP-2, N-cadherin, E-cadherin, TWIST-1, SNAIL-1, and ZEB-1. This evidence concerns the gene CDH2 and lung carcinoma.
