VEGFA and neoplasm: Normally, molecular targeted agents mainly take effect in two ways: 1) Monoclonal antibodies competitively bind the ligands involved in tumor angiogenesis or the paired receptors in tumor microenvironment (TME), such as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR), and then interrupt their integration and signal transduction (Hurwitz et al., 2004); 2) Kinase inhibitors interdict the phosphorylation and signal transduction downwards (Wilhelm et al., 2011; Jang et al., 2019).
