FHL2 can promote cell proliferation in some cell types, such as glioblastoma cells, ovarian granulosa cells, and tongue squamous cells, but antagonizes cell proliferation in other cell types, such as breast cancer cells (MCF‐7), colon cancer cells (HT‐29), and smooth muscle cells (SMCs) [22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29].
