BACH1 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma: Inhibition of BACH1 expression markedly repressed the expression of VEGFC in ESCC cells both in vitro and in vivo, attenuated the density of CD31+ blood vessels, and reduced angiogenesis in tumor xenografts in agreement with the results of the previous study that demonstrated that BACH1 significantly promotes tumor growth and angiogenesis in colorectal cancer.10
