The transcription factor Rreb1 is necessary for invertebrate development (Melani et al., 2008; Pickup et al., 2002; Wieschaus et al., 1984; Wilk et al., 2000) and is implicated in cancer (Ferrara and De Vanna, 2016; Hui et al., 2019; Kent et al., 2017; Li et al., 2018; Mukhopadhyay et al., 2007; Thiagalingam et al., 1996; Yao et al., 2019), suggesting that it plays critical contextual organismal functions.
