According to the data summarized in Table 2 (Ki-67 LI expression in odontogenic tumors), when a cut-off point of 5% is set for Ki-67 LI levels, all the benign tumors drop below this point, while Ki-67 LI for ameloblastic carcinoma is much higher (17.5 ± 2.8%). This evidence concerns the gene MKI67 and odontogenic neoplasm.
