IL1B and peritonitis: In PPARγ-cKO mice, the exudate E. coli counts (Figure 4K), numbers of exudate PMNs (Figure 4L), and concentrations of exudate IL-6, TNF-α, IL-1β, and MCP-1 (Figure S4H) were significantly higher than those of the control mice for the 105 c.f.u. E. coli -induced peritonitis.
