Orexin A secretion and mRNA expressions of OX1R and OX2R in lung tissue increased in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease model rats; however, these increases were suppressed by electroacupuncture treatment (10/50 Hz) at BL13 (Feishu) and Stomach 36 (ST36, Zusanli) [52]. The gene discussed is HCRTR2; the disease is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
