However, when compared to clinically similar neurological pathologies, such as Alzheimer’s disease (0.77 and 0.98) [41,64], rapidly progressive dementia (0.86–0.89) [65], neurodegenerative dementia (0.93) [64] and neurological diseases with dementia syndromes (0.45 and 0.90) [41,62], the AUCs of CSF NfL were significantly decreased (AUC 0.45–0.98) compared to CSF t-tau (AUC 0.85–0.92) and 14-3-3 (AUC 0.71–0.91) [40,41,64,65].
