Although Yang, [64] did not find an association of GSTM1 rs1056806 (c.528C > T) polymorphism with susceptibility of obesity in the Korean cohort (117 overweight/obese cases versus 125 non-overweight/obese subjects), a higher frequency of the heterozygous genotype was evident in the current obese subjects than non-obese. Here, GSTM1 is linked to obesity disorder.
