Studies have found that the ZZ domain of p62 in ovarian cancer regulates the activation of the nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-kB) pathway mediated by receptor-interacting protein 1 (RIP1) and affects the proliferation and apoptosis sensitivity of ovarian cancer cells [47]. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
