We have shown consistently that the oral administration of some immunobiotic strains including Lacticaseibacillus casei CRL431, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum CRL1506, and Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus CRL1505 improved the production of IFN-γ, IFN-β, and IL-10 in the gut and reduced the levels of IL-8 and MCP-1 in the context of intestinal bacterial and viral infections [22,53,54].
