Older age, hyperglycemia, and obesity or poor nutritional status, such as single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the FGD4, EPHA5, and FZD3 genes and ABCB1 and GSTP1 polymorphisms, have been associated with the development of taxane-related neuropathy [38,39,40,41,42]. Here, GSTP1 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
