Inhibition of ADAM17 during cisplatin treatment in primary cells produced a 1.5-fold increase in caspase3/7 activation using 10 μM cisplatin in tumor cells (UF-354 tumor) and a two-fold increase using 20 μM cisplatin in ascites-derived cells compared with cisplatin monotreatment (UF-354 ascites; Figure 6a). The gene discussed is ADAM17; the disease is neoplasm.
