These results support the reported in vivo research findings, and prove that FPS inhibits the expression of GLUT9 and URAT1 in renal tubular epithelial cells via inhibiting the UA-associated activation of the NF-κB, JNK and PI3K/Akt signaling pathways to promote urate excretion from kidneys, consequently decreasing blood uric acid content in hyperuricemia mice. This evidence concerns the gene SLC22A12 and hyperuricemia.
