Remarkably, NBAT-1 exerts tumor suppressor activity through the regulation of several genes which are known to be involved in the development of a wide range of cancers, including SOX9, OSMR and VCAN. In particular, NBAT-1 interacts with EZH2, thus repressing the gene expression via epigenetic mechanisms [47,55]. The gene discussed is NBAT1; the disease is neoplasm.
