In fact, it has been reported that TFEB overexpression promotes cellular clearance, hence ameliorating phenotypes in several diseases, such as multiple sulfatase deficiency [24], Pompe disease [33,34], alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency [35], as well as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s disease, among other neurodegenerative diseases [36,37,38]. Here, TFEB is linked to Parkinsonism.
