Fousek et al. created this CAR structure on a single T cell through a tricistronic transgene and found that in addition to CD19+ B-ALL models, it can also effectively kill CD19- blasts from recurrent patients after CD19 CAR-T therapy or CD19 knockout primary B-ALL models both in vitro and in vivo [28]. The gene discussed is CD19; the disease is acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
