Other studied predictive factors of acute appendicitis include body temperature ≥38.5 °C, leukocyte level ≥15 × 109/L, polymorphonuclear granulocytes ≥85%, and serum CRP ≥50 g/L proved to be excellent predictive factors and were significantly higher in the group of patients with perforated appendicitis (p < 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and appendicitis.
