S100A16 and cancer: Quantitative RT-PCR (1.33 ± 0.77 vs. 1.10 ± 0.69, p = 0.038; Figure 5A) and IHC (8.89 ± 2.93 vs. 7.08 ± 3.02, p = 0.023; Figure 5B) showed that S100A16 expression was higher in cancer than in adjacent normal tissues.
