MIR98 is a well-documented tumor suppressor, having demonstrated the ability to inhibit cell survival, cell proliferation, tumor growth, and invasion by targeting activin receptor type-1B (ALK4) and MMP11. Mechanistically, the tumor suppressor potential of MIR98 was validated using the luciferase reporter assay, where MIR98 was found to bind to the 3′-untranslated region of ALK4 and MMP11 mRNA. Here, MIR98 is linked to neoplasm.
