TMEM201 and inflammatory bowel disease: In vivo treatment of SAMP1 mice with piroxicam, a COX pathway inhibitor, did not show any morphological changes in SAMP1 mice, as shown in Figure 1C. Histologic results indicate that SAMP1 mice spontaneously develop lesions in their terminal ilea, reminiscent of human IBD, and in vivo treatment of SAMP1 mice with a COX pathway inhibitor has no effects on ileal structure.
