MTHFR and gastric cancer: In the Netherlands, a multicenter phase 2 study investigated the use of bevacizumab combined with docetaxel, oxaliplatin, and capecitabine as a first-line treatment for advanced HER2-negative GC patients and found that the MTHFR C677T polymorphism was related to outcomes in which patients carrying the TT genotype had inferior progression-free survival (vs CC/CT: HR, 4.7; 95% CI, 1.75–12.8 [p = 0.0007]) and OS (vs CC/CT: HR, 5.9; 95% CI, 2.12–16.5 [p = 0.0001] [150].
