PON1 and atherosclerosis: Consumption of a combination of bitter orange fruit flavonoids and olive leaf polyphenols (CitroliveTM) for 3 months in treatment-naïve subjects with a moderate risk of atherosclerosis was associated with a reduction in oxidized LDL-C and LDL-oxidase/LDL-C ratio, as well as with an increase in PON1 as compared with the controls.
