A study using exome sequencing has also identified MXRA5 as a cancer gene frequently mutated in non-small cell lung carcinoma [41], and cg26738106 in MXRA5 was also nominally significantly associated (p < 0.05) with survival from lung cancer in our data: HR = 1.59 (95% CI: 1.17–2.15), p = 0.003 in Model 4.1 and HR = 1.58 (95% CI: 1.16–2.14), p = 0.004 in Model 4.2. This evidence concerns the gene MXRA5 and lung carcinoma.
