Moreover, the analysis showed that there was a negative statistically significant correlation (r = −0.38, p ˂ 0.05) between the concentration of caspase-3 and the decimal logarithm of serum CA 125 antigen concentration in women from the study group, and the assessment of the diagnostic value of the tests showed that the determination of caspase-3 and serum CA 125 marker concentrations may prove useful in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer, but this requires further studies. Here, CASP3 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
