Given that Hippo signaling pathway is an evolutionarily conserved pathway that regulates various essential physiological processes and its disruption contributes to a number of human diseases including cancer [18,20,21,58], it is possible that Msn and its mammalian homologue MAP4K4/6/7 may also function as a tumor suppressor in a context-dependent manner. This evidence concerns the gene MAP4K4 and cancer.
