In the current paper, we analyzed vascular expression and circulating levels of IgM, IgG, reactive oxygen species (ROS), CD38, GDF15, S100A4 and CD36 in samples from patients with AAA vs. healthy controls and for the first time, assessed their potential association with two well-established parameters for predicting the risk of rupture, aneurysm diameter and peak wall stress (PWS). This evidence concerns the gene S100A4 and triple-A syndrome.
