Finally, we observed a significant decrease in TNFR1+TNFR2+ non-classical monocytes in ischemic stroke patients compared to controls [Ctl: 2.48% (1.41–5.04) and IS: 0.95% (0.25] 1.92), U = 41, p < 0.05], whereas TNFR1+TNFR2+ intermediate monocytes showed a trend towards an increase [Ctl: 13.24% (1.80–14.23) and IS: 17.80% (7.24–32.67), U = 52, p = 0.07] (Figure 3j). The gene discussed is TNFRSF1B; the disease is ischemic stroke.
