Turmeric extract (200–400 mg/kg) was shown to decrease colon cancer cell migration and epithelial–mesenchymal transitions through multiple pathways, such as cofilin, focal adhesion kinase/phospho-Src (FAK/p-Src), protein kinase B (AKT), extracellular-signal-regulated kinase (Erk), and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) pathways. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and malignant colon neoplasm.
