Tellechea et al., using lung and ovarian cancer models, have shown that NFAT5 overexpression in macrophages induced an IFNγ/Th1 polarization of CD4+T cells, while NFAT5 knock down in macrophages showed a reduced tumor infiltration of cytotoxic CD8+T cells to the tumor site [55].
