IL10 and neoplasm: Another marker classically used for the characterization of suppressive macrophages is CD163, but recent studies have found that CD163 can be detected on a variety of human anti-inflammatory myeloid cells, as it is upregulated by IL-10, glucocorticoids, and M-CSF, and has been found on tumor-infiltrating cells with negligible expression of CD68 [54,55,56,57].
