The correspondence in location and arrangement of the stromal cells surrounding neoplastic cells in invasive lobular carcinoma and the CD34+SCs/TCs observed by us and previously described by other authors in the normal breast [3,35,36,37,38,39,40,41] suggests that CD34+SCs/TCs act as a guide for neoplastic cells, condition specific morphological patterns and participate in the origin of stromal cells in the tumour. This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and invasive lobular breast carcinoma.
