Compared to tumor samples with no mutations, the samples harboring mutations in any of these 544 DNA repair genes have significantly higher expression of cyclin E. Specifically, among these 544 genes, there are 18 genes in the TCGA data base and 5 genes in the METABRIC data base whose mutation status were significantly associated with high cyclin E expression in patient samples examined (Figure 1C,D).
