Expression of four OM associated genes identified through ENU mutagenesis screening: Tgif1 (Tateossian et al., 2013), Fxbxo11 (Hardisty-Hughes et al., 2006), Mecom (Parkinson et al., 2006) and Nisch (Crompton et al., 2017) is clearly seen in both the undifferentiated and differentiated cells, with Mecom (Evi1), the gene mutated in the Junbo+/− OM mouse model (Mulay et al., 2018; Parkinson et al., 2006), being most differentially expressed during differentiation. The gene discussed is TGIF1; the disease is ocular melanoma.
