In most cases, the levels of IL4 and IL12 were lower than the range covered by the reference standards (7.8 ~ 500 pg/mL), rendering the measurements meaningless; therefore, of the ten cytokines tested, IL6, IL10, and TGFB1 tended to increase with peritoneal cancer burden, and IL6 and IL10 were significantly different between the pT4 and M1c groups (Table 1; Fig. 2).
