NEK2 and breast cancer: Such manifestations of Nek2-driven CIN are in agreement with previous findings from breast cancer cell lines25,26 and from our work showing that Nek2 is critical to sustaining CA/CIN in Her2 + cells, in mammary epithelial cells overexpressing the E2F transcriptional activators, H-RasG12V or H-RasG12V, or c-Myc22,23,36.
