Result of the stratified analysis indicated that BAX (rs 4645878) polymorphism was significantly associated with carcinomas in four genetic models [A vs G: (OR= 1.60, 95% CI= 1.09, 2.34, P= 0.01); AA vs GG: (OR= 2.61, 95% CI= 1.68, 4.06, P<0.001); AA+GA vs GG: (OR= 1.53, 95% CI= 1.04, 2.25, P= 0.02); AA vs GG+GA: (OR= 2.53, 95% CI= 1.65, 3.87, P<0.001)] (Figure 4b). The gene discussed is BAX; the disease is carcinoma.
