Notably, we identified four of 20 (20%) IBCs had unique predicted deleterious mutations in the non-coding (promoter and intron) region of MAST2 (Microtubule-Associated Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase 2), while no deleterious mutation was detected in any of the 23 non-IBC cases in our cohort. Here, MAST2 is linked to inflammatory breast carcinoma.
