To further elucidate the relevant targets of aloe-emodin in colon cancer, we selected the top 20 relevant targets for analysis; among these targets, HSP90AA1, JUN, SRC, ESR1, RHOA, CDKN1B, MAPK14, CDKN1A, ABL1, MAPK8, AKT2, PTPN11, IGF1R, and PIK3R1 are all related to cell proliferation, and CDK2 plays a key role in cell cycle regulation, and its activity is limited to the G1-S phase of the cell cycle [28]. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK14 and malignant colon neoplasm.
