Protein O-GlcNAcylation is regulated by the action of two antagonistic enzymes, O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) and O-GlcNAcase (OGA), and different reports in the literature have shown that the O-GlcNAcylation is related to different types of cancer [1, 11, 21, 39, 42]. The gene discussed is OGA; the disease is cancer.
