Interestingly, others have reported a positive correlation between the proportions of CD8 T-cells recognizing the CMV UL83 protein and PWV in a cohort of N = 123 CMV+ Korean individuals (including patients with hypertension, coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus, and healthy subjects), however, this association was much weaker still than the one we found between CD4 Tmem and cfPWV 40. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and coronary artery disorder.
