LDLR and inclusion body myositis: Cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR), very low-density lipoprotein receptor (VLDLR) and lipoprotein receptor-related protein (LRP) were increased in the muscle tissues of IBM patients (Jaworska-Wilczynska et al., 2002), which might be involved in the formation of vacuolated muscle fibres (VMF) by interacting with amyloid-β precursor protein (AβPP).
