Zbtb16 KO mice showed skeletal dysplasia and smaller body size compared with wild-type (WT) mice (Fig. 1a), due to a single nucleotide (lu) mutation in Zbtb16, resulting in a nonsense mutation (p.Arg234*) (Fig. 1b, Supplementary Fig. 1). The gene discussed is ZBTB16; the disease is skeletal dysplasia.
